Child Care Algoma’s Early Learning and Care programs provide caring environments that enhance all levels of a child’s development. Our Registered Early Childhood Educators plan curriculum that supports early learning practice which is based on the belief that all children are individual and unique learners.
All the Centre-Based Child Care Programs are licensed in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act.

Infants in day care have the extra advantage of being in an early social environment with their peers. Parents are confident that our Registered Early Childhood Educators offer a safe, loving, compassionate and stimulating environment that builds confidence, curiosity and communication skills. Our caring Registered Early Childhood Educators develop meaningful relationships with our families based on trust and respect. Toddlers need regular routines that encourage safe exploration and play. Our early learning standards provide for the development of young children focusing on health and physical well-being, social and emotional well-being and language development. [read more]
preschool
Pretend play is the primary mode of learning during the preschool years. Children use language and thinking skills to compare and plan, problem solve, negotiate and evaluate in pretend play. [read more]
preschool Extended Day Learning Programs
Extended day programs are for children aged 4 – 12 years. These successful programs build self-esteem, self –reliance and resilience. The children develop and learn in a fun environment that provides a wide variety of age appropriate activities.

Bienvenue aux programmes d’apprentissage des jeunes enfants et aux programmes de services de garde.

Les programmes d’apprentissage des jeunes enfants et les programmes de garde proposent  un environnement favorisant le développement optimal de l'enfant en pleine croissance. Par le biais de programmes axés sur l'apprentissage par le jeu et sous la supervision d'éducatrices diplômées, l'enfant expérimente des situations favorisant  un développement sain au cours des premières années de sa vie:

  • Curiosité, initiative et indépendance ;
  • Estime de soi et capacité de prise de décisions ;
  • Interaction sociale et respect des autres ;
  • Activités physiques développant les principales habiletés motrices ;
  • Aptitudes à communiquer ;
  • Développement des habiletés motrices fines.

La supervision des enfants par des éducatrices comptant des années d’expérience constitue un atout important :

  • Maintien du ratio personnel-enfant ;
  • Programmes d'enfance en difficulté ;
  • Service de garde à temps plein ou à temps partiel ;
  • Service de garde pour les nourrissons dans certaines localisations ;
  • Possibilité de subventions.

Tous les programmes de services de garde en établissements sont autorisés en conformité avec la Loi sur les garderies de l'Ontario.
